In Practice:
Artistes du Monde for Kids (AMK) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2022 with the mission of fostering connections and social cohesion through cultural activities.
In 2023, AMK won a project call to join the renovated space by BinHome, aiming to strengthen local and intergenerational ties. The opening hours and activities held there are designed for everyone, from the very young to the elderly.
Run primarily by volunteers, the environment is highly international and inclusive. In addition to French, we speak English, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Arabic, Korean, and more.
AMK is, above all, a creator of connections—cultural, social, and intergenerational. Our mission is to combat polarization and ethnocentrism by creating a multicultural, artistic, and educational space where everyone is welcome. Our main tool is art, in all its forms.
Initially focused on children, our activities were centered around showcasing a different country each month. We highlighted its artists not only through exhibitions but also through hands-on artistic workshops. This approach broadens participants' horizons, encourages meaningful discussions, and fosters cultural exchange.
We are committed to education and knowledge-sharing through global artists, organizing painting workshops every Wednesday afternoon and holiday camps during school breaks.
However, we have since expanded our activities to reach a wider audience and make our space even more accessible to all.
